Results start in your mind

Maybe you’ve experienced that occasionally we can do excellent in a situation and other times we perform very so-so, but we don’t absolutely know why?

It all comes down to the emotional state we’re in . When we feel outstanding we perform well – when we don’t we get very so-so results.

And a major factor in our state can be distortion.

This is wherever we give signification to an experience that will not totally have that meaning. For example, it is a little while ago we had a visitation in our household from a group of mice . We would ordinarily hear then racing around in the area above us in the middle of night. The first time we heard the noise, we didn’t have a clue what it was. Getting up in the midst of the night I overheard this strange noise as they must have been racing across the floor above us. Our cats must have handled the nuisance mice , because   several days later there was no sign of any rodents except for the occasional carcass the cats would kindly leave us. But , a short while after this incident, I was resting in the sitting room, and I glimpsed, I was certain that I glimpsed a rodent racing along the floor. But on looking around there was no indication of any mice , nor anywhere it might have   been hiding , so I surely distorted the event in my mind due to my prior experience. So that is what happens  – past experienceoften influence us to distort present experience. If it’s the case that I had a negative experience in a job interview, then in the future if I went into a job interview and the interviewer looks at me intensely, I could distort the event as meaning they didn’t like me. Strangely, somoeone else can interpret staring as the someone liking you.

it is important about this that whatever way you represent an event to yourself determines the way you feel and afterward behave.

 

So how may you program yourself for brilliant results – quit remaining so-so!

So the principles for success from NLP – the first thing is you can train yourself to stop deleting your positive experiences. changing thought patterns can take effort and undifferentiated practise is essential. By keeping a daily journal and following these secrets , that is how you may programme your brain for successful think ing. I recommend doing this at the end of the day – maybe on the way home from working , or prior to you go to bed at night

Step 1:

Write down in your journal 3 thingies that you did well today

Step 2:

Write down 3   somethings you could improve on tomorrow

Step 3

Write down what you may do tomorrow to make these improvements – write down quite specific steps and behaviours which could make the difference to be excellent .

Step 4

At the end of the day make an action plan for personal and professional big pictures for the following day – be specific and make sure you refresh the list preceeding you go to sleep.
