Ever wonder why some people never get anything good out of their life? That’s because they don’t know what they want in the first place!

You must be specific in your passions, then you must focus all your efforts on that particular desire.

Some people don’t really know what they want. For one moment they’re excited over a particular thing or endeavor. The next thing you know they completely abandon it; either because they lose their interest or because they give up when they encounter a little problem. Those who constantly change their minds and those who give up easily when the going gets tough will never get anywhere. They have not experienced a spiritual awakening. Maybe at this moment, you are a little bit confused. You don’t seem to know what you really want in life. You might want to consider these to start your spiritual journey:

1. What makes you excited?

2. What makes you happy?

3. What are you consistently thinking of day & night?

4. What do you want to do for the rest of your life?

5. What do you enjoy doing?

6. What are your obsessions?

7. What things make you jump with joy?

To help you out, just follow these steps.

1. Write on a piece of paper all your possible answers for the seven questions above. Write anything, even seemingly unimportant ones.

2. Encircle 5 to 7 items that interests you the most.

3. Then evaluate and choose with your heart the one and only thing that is worthy to spend all your time and resources with. The choice you make should really be something that brings out the best in you.

Other than the exercise above, you could also ask your close friends and relatives about their personal dreams. You could also read books and surf the net to help you in your search.

Use your heart. Other people may disagree with you, but you should be firm with what you really want. Others may give comments or advice but you have the final say on the decision making. You should concentrate on what you want, not on what others want for you.

Then you have to constantly visualize and affirm your desires.

If you want to be a lawyer, visualize as one. Act like one. Think of what suit you’re wearing, the judge you’re convincing, the case you’re handling, and the courtroom you’re in. Visualize the evidences. Smell the victory. Make everything real.

Believe that you are what you are visualizing. So you want to be a lawyer? Tell yourself, ‘I’m the best lawyer in the world.’ Don’t say to yourself, ‘I will be the best lawyer in the world.’

Affirm strongly. Say ‘I am,’ not ‘I will,’ because ‘I will’ suggests something that will occur only in the future. You have to experience it NOW, not in the future.

You must sink into your subconscious your deepest desire. The subconscious mind can do what the conscious mind cannot.

Here’s an exercise.

1. Find a quiet and comfortable place to rest.

2. Relax your whole body. Command every part of your body to relax starting from your feet up to your head.

3. Slowly count back from 20 to 1, relaxing deeper and deeper with each count. Upon reaching 1, you are completely relaxed.

4. Now affirm your deepest desire. If you want to be a lawyer, say,’ I am the greatest lawyer in the world.’ As you’re saying that, picture yourself to be the best lawyer ever, winning every case you’ve come across. You may say ‘I am now explaining to the jury my winning proposition’ or anything that will affirm what you’re conceiving in your mind as of the moment.

5. After about 10 to 20 minutes of continuous confirmation and visualization, count slowly from 1 to 20. Upon counting, slowly be aware of your surroundings. Feel refreshed and invigorated after doing this exercise.

6. Repeat this exercise every day. What you have just learned is a very powerful technique that enhances the power of visualization and affirmation by embedding it into the subsconsious. What once is nearly impossible to achieve will become easier to reach from now on.

Don’t go sleeping tonight without making a final decision on WHAT YOU REALLY WANT IN LIFE MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE. Then every day, visualize and affirm.

The bagua are eight separate diagrams popular in Taoist cosmology that illustrate fundamental principles of reality, seen as eight interlacing concepts. Each consists of three lines, each line either “broken” or “unbroken,” representing yin or yang, respectively. In order to know how to use the Eight Cures and the Five elements most effectively, you must understand how they should be placed. The Bagua is a specialized map arranged to help the applicators of Feng Shui facilitate the flow of chi in a space and within the inhabitants. This map reveals how a space should be arranged in order for the environment to function harmoniously and for the occupants to have a fortunate existence. The Bagua is in the shape of an octagon divided into eight sections, each representing one of the trigrams and one of the eight life situations.

Li- Fame and Rank Kan- Career

Gen- Knowledge and Kuen- Marriage and Love

Dwei- Children and Creativity Jen- Family and Health

Chyan- Helpful people and Hsun- Wealth

The 8 Trigrams

Each of these trigrams is made up of a series of broken and unbroken lines, representing Yin and Yang. The eight different trigrams were originally written in the ancient text of the I Ching, or Book of Changes. As goes the Chinese legend, these trigrams were originally presented to Chinese emperor and proverbial father of divination Fu Hsi over 3,000 years ago, back in the legendary times! Combined, these trigrams create what is known as the pa-k’ua, and they each represent one aspect of nature: Heaven, Earth, Fire, Mountain, Lake, Deep Water, Wind, and Thunder.}

The 8 Life Situations

Each of the eight trigrams has a corresponding life situation and each life situation has a corresponding direction.

Wealth- southeast

Fame/Rank- south

Marriage/Love- southwest

Children/Creativity- west

Helpful individuals/Travel- northwest

Career- north

Knowledge/Wisdom- northeast

Family/Health- east

How to Use the Bagua

Learning to use the Bagua is fairly uncomplicated. You simply superimpose it on whatever part of your home you might be concentrating on at the moment. The Bagua can be applied to a plot of land on which you are looking to build, can be utilized over the entire layout of your house, or can be utlized to focus on a specific room or rooms you feel might need some extra help in order to be energetically balanced. Some Feng Shui consultant even use the Bagua to deconstruct specific pieces of furniture. For example, which area of the bed you choose for making love may influence both your level of pleasure and the likelihood that you will conceive a child? You can also use the Bagua on the human body with the eight directions corresponding to specific internal organs: the heart representing fire, the kidneys representing water, the liver representing wood, the lungs representing metal, and the spleen representing earth. The same principles used to balance a room can be utlized to balance your body and optimize your health. It discerns the most advantageous arrangement for the interior of your home as well as the most desirable location and orientation for the exterior of your house. It’s important to realize that this map is forming the groundwork for all the rules that follow. Whether it’s a career promotion or advancement in your love life, the Bagua can help you to achieve the specific outcome that you’re longing for.

Wouldn’t it be great if we can see our path towards our personal lifetime goals as a straight line, with no obstacles in between? Unfortunately, in the real world, that is hardly the case.

When we set ourselves to achieve goals we need to fashion our mind to be attuned to it. We have to align our thoughts with the direction of our goal. We need to achieve our goal in the easiest manner at the shortest possible time. In other words, we have to condition our minds. At times, some of us may quip: “I must not delay things but I need to be patient enough to wait”. This means practicing practicality on the mental characteristics we need to adapt by leaning on the positive and aggressive side of the action we have to take to achieve our goal.

Regardless of circumstances or whatever the situation is, we have to keep trying and persevere. . However, learn to stop to rest for a while if need be and continue again after regaining your strength. We must stop temporarily but not permanently. We must have a burning desire or passion to attain our goal but must not burn ourselves out. Don’t let stress and tension affect you and your health. Act on ideas at once but be patient enough to wait for results without unnecessary delays on our part.

Some processes take time. Not everything can be done in short cuts. Work on goals we like and are familiar with, but we must not stop to learn more about it especially those pertaining to new innovations and technologies. Be positive, practical, and aggressive in the pursuit of your goals.

However, how can we control a situation we think may happen, sort of pre-empting what we think will happen. This type of controlling a situation tells us to concentrate on goals that we can maneuver, we can direct to the way we plan it. You may think this is monopolizing but it isn’t. For example, let’s say you want to get into the business of making ready-to-cook ‘french fries’. If you are going to buy potatoes from a planter who dictates the price in the market, you’re bound to have problems beyond your control. One of the solutions to continue in this business is to look for more suppliers or better still, you must be knowledgeable in planting your own potatoes. These ways, you have a ready solution to a potential problem.

Get involved in goals wherein you have control of your own resources. In short, choose goals you are familiar, comfortable, and you have more experience in.

Part of everyday living and in the course of setting and realizing our goal, we are usually faced with different kinds of troubles or obstacles that hinder our growth, our development. Such troubles may directly affect the goal we aim for, others indirectly, and still others have nothing to do with them except that they take up some of our time and make us feel bad, they just slow us down, as if we want to give up.

Again, the solution is to be practical and understand that this is all part of the package. Know what you must do to achieve your goal in the shortest time possible while at the same time accept that obstacles are inevitable. Deal with them as they come along but don’t let them deter you from your goal.

We also have a self improvement blog where Patric Chan shares his personal success secrets and strategies regularly.

When you have a problem, sometimes you need a new skill or skill set to deal with it. That was an epiphany generated from listening to a speaker the other day. Everything seemed so clear in that moment. Yes, it made sense.

Sometimes when you wrestle with problems, you might not see an immediate solution and you struggle to find one. After a while, you might give up completely, thinking that it is impossible to find a solution for that particular problem. At that moment, the idea that you might simply need new skills or knowledge to overcome the difficulty can be very empowering.

Making that mental connection allows you to escape being stuck and giving up, it focuses your mind on a solution. It doesn’t allow you to think that there is no solution which can only lead to depression or feeling ‘down’.

But then you might think that you lack knowledge or skills in a certain area. Yet, you know that you could either find that knowledge or develop the skills to solve your problem.

Alternatively, you could hire someone to solve your problem. NO killing please, that is not a solution, but a doorway to greater problems. However, under normal circumstances, hiring someone with the right skills is perfectly acceptable. For example, you might higher a plumber if you have a problem with your shower or sink. You could take the time to learn the skills but you have to weigh the value of that learning curve against how much it would cost to actually hire someone with the skills already.

Maybe you have decided that there is no one with the skill set you need available or that it is worth your time to develop a new skill. What are some sources of knowledge and places to develop these new skill sets? Libraries, books, online searches, bookstores, Internet, circles of influence, brainstorming, mastermind groups and even asking someone you don’t know for their viewpoint can sometimes yield new ideas, leading to new results.

There are always helpful tools to utilize in regards to creating new skillsets and mindsets. For example, if you view weightloss as learning a new skillset, you might utilize Cho Yung Tea as an aid. Similarly, if you were fighting gingivitis, you might find at tool like the hydro floss useful.

The bottom line is that there are resources everywhere for you to tap into, you just have to open your eyes and allow yourself to become aware that this is the case. There is always a way to find new resources and you can keep tapping those resources for expertise until you find what you are looking for and you develop the new skill.

There are also ways to reframe existing problems. Questioning the underlying thoughts that support your belief that you even have a problem in the first place can sometimes yield interesting results. Sometimes we get stuck in a mindset and asking ourselves questions to understand the legitimacy or redefine the reality of situation can be most useful.

Like cancer, negative thinking can kill! It can kill and destroy our whole future. Negative thoughts affect the mind, body, and emotions and impede our efforts to find happiness.

Our thoughts produce our feelings. We get angry by having angry thoughts. It is impossible to feel sad without sad thoughts. Unhappiness does not and cannot exist on its own. Unhappiness is the feeling that accompanies negative thinking.

So how do we overcome negative thoughts? Stop thinking about them! Our negative feelings are results of our own negative thinking. Apart from refraining to think about negative thoughts, we can turn negative thoughts into positive ones.

One effective technique is to learn a whole new set of happy words. These are words that make you feel positive. Other studies refer to these as “Positive Adjectives List” from The Apache Method (The Antidotal Positive Adjectives Character and Happiness Enhancement Method)

According to this particular study, which is based on Emmet Velton’s classic paper, “There has been a body of research empirically validating our ability to positively or negatively change our moods by reading phrases like “I feel very good” or “I am afraid.”

So, how do we go about dislodging thoughts of unhappiness?

1. Be aware. We have to catch ourselves when we are about to indulge in negative thinking. In the first few days, we have to be very vigilant.

2. When we start to feel an unpleasant emotion coming along, we have to identify it’s source as precisely as possible. Is it hatred? Hurt? Fear? Anxiety? Discontent? This is a very critical component of the process as related to the next step.

3. Search for the exact opposite of the negative emotion. Think of its antonym. For example, the moment we catch ourselves feeling “lazy,” we would call to mind an opposite adjective like “energetic.” We would then say to ourselves, “I feel energetic.”

If we view ourselves as “pessimistic”, we say “I am hopeful.” If we feel we are “incompetent’, we say “I feel ingenious.” What do we say if we see ourselves as “unmindful”? We say, “I am grateful.”

Can we use the same strategy even if we do not feel any unpleasant feelings? Of course! We are encouraged to think and say to ourselves statements like “I feel fabulous” to reinforce our mood, or statements like “I feel strong” or “I feel friendly” in order to enhance our character.

Other people have introduced variations to the said technique. Others say it aloud in front of the mirror every morning for ten minutes for twenty-one days. Saying it aloud increases its effectiveness as it represents emotional involvement. This is no different from expressing positive affirmations and doing self-talk. Others find it more effective by writing the statements on paper, as they become more “physically” involved.

Try it out. It doesn’t matter which way you choose to use. What’s most important is that you are aware of the direction of your thoughts and change it. You’ll see a brighter, more positive you emerge and that is the secret to happiness.

Do you suffer from occasional depression?
Do you suffer from ‘more than occasional’ depression?
Do you consider yourself your personal worst enemy?
Do you live your life with uncertainty, always trying to live up to the criteria other people set for you?

If you answered yes to any of above queries, you’ll be interested in the following depression self help information.

Depression (or prolonged sadness) is a diagnosis that has become very typical within the United States. It has been said that over nine % of the American populace really suffers from this sickness. The sad truth is very few of them will actually seek treatment. As a consequence, depression and its ill-effects are a constant burden to these poor unhappy people. Depression symptoms might seem very simple to deal with but in reality, it takes more than a minor cheering up to really cure depression.

A visit to an expert counselor is a good idea to get access to the prescription medicines that the physician will prescribe. Of course, neither the doctor’s visit nor the meds come cheap, but the amount of depression-caused suffering is sufficient cause to take action. It’s beneficial to face depression symptoms head on through the numerous remedies which are available today.

On the other hand, there are less costly actions that a patient can consider. We can all avail ourselves of self help therapies that fit well into any depression therapy strategy. To that end, I have listed 7 actions that all depression sufferers ought to follow:

Depression self help step #1: Individuals can only get the best of you with your permission.
Do not give it to them. When you allow somebody get the best of you than you are truly letting them win. In life we are confronted with the joy of living life or the pain and frustration of not living life to its fullest.

Depression self help action #2: Remember that you are who you are only because of you.
Other people’s perceptions of you should be ignored. At the end of your life the only important question will be: “Did you live your life as you saw fit?”

Depression self help action #3: Figure out what is important to you.
Do you know who you are? Are you pleased with yourself as you are? These two questions should be answered for you to make any progress.

Depression self help action #4: Keep in mind that you are in charge of your destiny.
Replicate this on a frequent basis: ‘I am in charge of my future, and it’s up to me and only me to live my life’. It’s important to establish practical objectives for yourself, and do your best to fulfill them.

Depression self help action #5: Don’t turn out to be your own worst enemy.
Sometimes it is just a matter of putting yourself first. If you can love someone else, why can you not love your self? You need to comprehend that you are a decent person, and worthy of being loved

Depression self help action #6: In no way lose sight of who you are, and what you stand for.
If someone disses you simply because you do not meet their standards,it’s not your problem; it’s theirs. Life can be filled with disappointments if we live each day seeking the approval of others.

Depression self help action #7: Stay true to yourself and your ideals.
Do not be scared to speak up for yourself even when it feels uncomfortable, and never let anyone influence who you should be. Believe in yourself, because the one person you are able to rely on is you.

Conclusion:

In order to effectively battle depression, you ought to keep your emphasis on the above steps. Having successfully done so, you’ll eventually find your depression symptoms lessening. And eventually, you’ll be back to living a normal lifestyle. You will be able to look in the mirror at the end of each day and see your best friend!

Positive thinking can have a great impact on a person. What is hard to understand is why positive thinking is so powerful for life improvement. That involves taking a good look at how positive thinking works.

Positive thinking works in three different ways. First, it works on you and your general attitude. Second, it works on those around you. Lastly, it has a way of influencing your environment. How exactly positive thinking works on these things is, open for debate, though. Some people believe that positive thinking relates to karma. That whatever you put out there comes back to you. Others believe that positive thinking is a mental thing that triggers positive things. Whatever your beliefs, it is hard to doubt the power of positive thinking.

You will feel how powerful positive thinking is. Once you start to implement positive thinking in your life, you will start to see it work for you. Positive thinking has a way of changing your point of view in life. You will start to find the good in things and that will help you improve life. You will be less likely to feel down and instead you will allow positive thinking to guide you to happy thoughts. You will start to do everything in a more positive way, including the way you treat others. This will not go unnoticed. Your interaction with others plays a large part in your life.

Other people are going to be greatly influenced by your positive thinking . You will start to see this because they are going to start treating you differently. Others can sense your positive energy and they will treat you in a positive way. Someone who is often rude or just inattentive to you will likely start to treat you in a nice way or pay more attention to you.

You will start to find that people are more likely to offer you help when you need it. They will likely do nice things, such as hold doors open or just give you a smile. Your positive attitude may even be contagious. You may start to see people you spend a lot of time with exhibiting your positive attitude and positive thinking. Positive thinking even has a way of influencing your environment, but it may not necessarily be in the way you think. Just because you think positive does not mean that everything will automatically go your way.

However, when you think positively you will be less likely to see the negative in things and therefore your environment will appear to change. You will probably start to notice the little things more than ever before and that will have a nice effect on you.

Positive thinking will allow you to believe in yourself. It will allow you to believe that you can accomplish anything if you set your mind to it. You will be able to set goals and reach them because you believe that you can do it. Negative thoughts will no longer hold you down.

Positive thinking is very influential. It is going to start to shape everyone and everything around you. You are going to see the great power it has almost instantly. The power of positive thinking is not subtle. You have to make an effort to use positive thinking to turn all your thoughts and ideas into positive ones. It is up to you to push the negative thoughts out of your head and let positive thoughts guide you.

When you start to find your thoughts, drifting to the negative it is your responsibility to make an effort to make them positive instead. Go ahead and train yourself to always find the positive in anything. One you do this it will go a long way towards changing your attitude.

The power of positive thinking is that it will shape your life. Positivist is so contagious that it will affect the world around you. You will start to see positive thinking everywhere you go.

Positive thinking has a power that is undeniable. It is something that will not be subtle. It will have such a great impact on you and your life that you will wonder how you ever lived before putting it to work in your life. The real power of positive thinking is that it allows you to live life to its fullest potential and for all that, it has to offer without letting negativity bring you down.

Building Credibility in Organisational Development:

As determined in the previous articles, for organisational change to happen, it is essential for the people to believe that change will happen, that they can make it happen, and that it will benefit them.

These beliefs are nurtured by showing almost instant results in performance and efficiency, and making high visibility around the small accomplishments that will be transformed into bigger ones. The active ingredient to generating impact is that each person shares the glory for results and that the leaders look for the tiniest successes in order to acknowledge those groups who achieve them.

Motivational strategies promoting opportunities to grow through training and more potential to advance in the company would be built into the process to maintain higher energy and job appeal. This process includes -

Creating interest requires two components: a protagonist and an antagonist. The protagonist being some gratification (more rewarding place to work, more advancement, etc.), the antagonist would be an external force that retards this accomplishment (previous attitude of the leaders, a shrinking economy, etc.). The leaders must use the protagonist to unite the teams, departments, managers and individuals to build a greater force that has the capability of beating the antagonist. They must be wooed to understand that they alone can’t defeat it and only as a team they can prevail over the odds (just as a Lethal Weapon Movie, as good as Mel Gibson is, he depends on Danny Glubber to vanquish the bad guys). Teamwork Works.

The higher the perceived value the antagonist provides, i.e. what do they get out of it or what they don’t they lose, will specify the level of cohesiveness the leaders can attain. And the better the cohesiveness, the better the outcomes which can be used to increase credibility and trust.

Trust can also be amplified by sharing information across all levels of staff. Access to information that would otherwise be considered “privileged”, will augment the belief that the leaders have trust on them with it and hence add to credibility of management’s commitment. This will also add to productivity since information provides the tools by which individuals can make decisions and originate ideas.

It is also important that during creating enthusiasm and building credibility that the expectations of the management and staff are managed to avoid dissatisfaction, and therefore reduced motivation.

The expectations which are unrealistic, can easily destroy any good program and therefore its credibility. For example, if a friend tells you that a movie she saw was “absolutely fantastic”, you may be disheartened when you go to see the movie. This is not due to the fact that the movie was bad, rather due to the expectations you developed from your friend’s statement became higher than usual. Therefore, the next time your friend tells you about a movie, you may discount her statements.

Congruency of actions from the leaders is certainly the most crucial for developing credibility. The actions and words of the leaders must go hand in hand. One incongruent action can spoil any credibility that has been built. While it may be considered “unfair”, most employees will seldom give a second chance and just brush the entire program off with a statement such as “See, I knew he/she/they couldn’t change!” Therefore, for at least the first few months of the buy-in period, the leaders must pull out their Superman Costumes and make sure they live up to the changes and policies they are trying to implement.

It is a difficult task to reach overcome the difficulties for Organizational Change within a company that has culture problems, but it is achievable. And, the rewards are much more greater than the initial efforts put forth to create an empowered culture. The benefits stretch beyond the productivity increase and extend to a better, more rewarding place to work for all involved. As David “The finance guy” Rogers once said in his Psychology of Money seminar, “If there is no change, your past will become your future”

Are You Stuck In One Of The Common Motivation Traps?
Everyone is motivated, but noone is motivated all the time/ There are countless studies and case histories done on the topic of motivation. Although there are a number of similarities along with differences in their elemental results there are many ideas that can be pulled from all the research regardless of its focus or purpose.
Motivation is frequently seen as an illusive nonetheless crucial plan afterwards we try to get what seems to push some individuals forwards while keeping others stuck in a very mode of thinking, acting or believing.
Let us examine what some of these studies haVE FOUND. One. No one can ever have it all or do it all. People have motivation in degrees. Some seem to be overflowing with it while alternative’s have hassle getting out of bed every morning..
Two. motivation is entirely person-based and what motivates one person may have no effect on another. .
Three. To be effective for the long run it should be an inside-out, not outside-in method or philosophy.
Four. The common sorts of motivation of worry and payoff have their limitations and
positive and negative consequences.
Five. Individuals get it and lose it at assorted times in their life for very predictable and/or
terribly illusive reasons.
Six. Goals, values, beliefs, expectations, attitudes, circumstances, perceptions and emotions all play a critical role in a persons final motivation..
Seven. Where there’s an inconsistency between natural endowment or ability and outcomes, motivation, whether positive or negative, perpetually plays a role in contributing to why .
Eight. You cannot measure motivation. You’ll measure results but motivation is not the
only factor contributing to results.
Nine. The word motivation contains the ideas of call for, goals or purpose and action. Purpose and motives will vary from the idealistic, transitory and spiritual to the a lot of concrete, sensible and factual. Action can vary from sporadic to targeted, from a very petty to allot, from currently to later.
Ten. No one can ever really recognize why another person does or will not do, feel or act in a sure way. Human conduct is somewhat predictable however it’s not an absolute science.
Let’s come back to to the title of this article of common motivation traps. What are they?
As an employee with a job owner, father, speaker, consultant and trainer I have witnessed a selection of frustration among a great deal of individuals due to their lack of information of the concept of motivation and their relationship to and their duty for alternative individuals in their life.
Motivation and the amount of it, at any given time during a persons life, may be a terribly personal thing. Folks can influence different folks for good or for evil but the final responsibility for a person’s behavior is, has been and perpetually will be, themselves . One amongst the best frustrations during a person’s life is the unrealized expectation of another persons behavior. In other words, why will not my children, spouse, parents, employees, customers, friends etc. act, consider or feel the means I suppose they should? Why do these same individuals act, suppose and feel the means they are doing? Do not have a clue folks.
Our role as managers, oldsters, spouses, friends and so on is not to motivate different people. You see we cannot really. Real motivation is an within-out process. Once we believe that we tend to will encourage others, we are assuming motivation is an outside-in process. Our role is to create an setting where folks would wish to, and are able to inspire themselves.
If you reminisce at the 2 ancient motivators of concern and reward you will see that they ‘re each founded on an outside-in philosophy. They are only as successful as the person being “motivated” is willing to allow them to influence them. For instance if you employ worry on an employee, parenthetically the menace of the loss of their job to induce them to boost their performance. If they have the angle, I do not would like your job, I am a proficient and arduous working individual, I quit. Your threat was useless.
Fear and rewards as motivators are solely effective if the person you are making an attempt to inspire is worried or fascinated by your threat of punishment or your reward. These motivators are exceedingly a motivational environment. Neither of those environments contribute to peak performance behavior inside an individual. In the long term they’re a lot of negative than positive. Ig it isn’t what the person requires, even positive motivational attempts can become negative Individuals haven’t primarily circumscribed within the past several hundred years. Most individuals need the same things in life. Recognition and/or praise, challenge, a feeling they are creating a contribution, security, to exercise the liberty of choice, the requirement to be in on things, to feel worthwhile and productive and the power to possess influence or control over their life and destiny.
If you would like a motivated family, organization, team, department or group of any kind satisfy as several of the above desires for the individual or group as you can. If you want a de-motivated team, group, organization etc give none of these.
